Practical Time Travel 101

Well I went away for a week. Again.
This got me thinking. The normal response when you have to set aside your animal crossing for a few days is usually panic. ("Oh man I bet my hybrid flowers all died." "My turnips are going to be rotten." "I hope Filbert didn't move out!" "I missed the mushroom festival-- AGAIN!") Must this be the case? "No!" I say. The alternative to all of this worrying is plain and simple. Time travel.
I'm hear to tell you, there ain't nothing wrong with a little time travel.
No there isn't.
Let us take a little spin in my TARDIS and I'll explain.
Now for some people, myself included, finding time to play Animal Crossing every day is rather difficult. I fix this problem by time traveling back to the day I last played and picking up from there.
First, find the day you last played on. This is easier said than done most of the time. I like to go into my Wii calender and look for a message that says how much animal crossing I played that day. Then I go looking for the last time that message appears, and hurrah! There is the last day I played.
Next, I log onto Animal crossing, and before I head into the game I talk to Rover and click on "Other things" then "set time/date". Then you simply set the date to one day AFTER you last played. Not the day itself mind you.
To help keep on track with the time travel and not forget where you are if you have to set your town aside for a long time, I like to print out a outlook calender and check off the days that I have played. Simple! Now I'll never get confused, unless I forget to check it off... well... I'd cross that bridge when I come to it.

Unfortunately there are some side effects of time travel. Joan will not sell you any red turnips for a while, and Nook's turnip prices tend to plummet. (Also I think that Phineas the prize man shuns the city. But don't quote me on that.) But hey, which price would you rather pay? Me, I'll go without turnips for a few weeks, I'm happy to have my neighbors and flowers and be weed-free!
